Tips for practicing with ICSE Sample Papers

After going through the syllabus, students should solve the questions in the sample papers for each subject. They should refer to the solutions for the answers of the questions they are not sure about. The sample papers and ICSE question papers of previous years are available for download on the internet.

While preparing schedule for exam preparation, students should keep sometime for practicing questions from ICSE sample papers. Keeping sometime for practicing solving ICSE guess papers will make them familiar with the paper pattern of ICSE Board Papers and the level of difficulty of various subjects in ICSE question papers.

When students are preparing for the final examinations, they should also refer to the weightage given to various topics in ICSE papers and prepare accordingly for each subject. ICSE papers contain both objective and subjective questions. The equal weightage is given to both objective and subjective questions. For students of classes 9, 10, 11 a new subject English Speaking and Listening Skills has been introduced. However, the students will be evaluated on this subject internally.

Also, the environment subject will be merged with other subjects from 2013 onwards. Also, the board aims to have a centralized marking scheme in addition to online registration of the students for board examinations.
